08/17/2005 Vicki Zhao Wei, Lu Yi, Lee Wei and On Yi Hin yesterday worked on their television series TRACK JIK CHOOK OI
LUEN (TRACK EXTREME SPEED ROMANCE) at the Zhuhai International Raceway. Later Zhao Wei will work on Ann Hui On
Wa's new film YI MA DIK HA YIN DOI SUN WOOT (AUNT'S POST MODERN LIFE) with Chow Yun Fat and Siqin Gowa. Zhao Wei
said that all thanks to Director Hui she got the rare chance to work with Fat Gor. Because Hui On Wa has taken great care of
her every time, she has been very relaxed about this collaboration. She also said that she has already met Fat Gor.
Unfortunately this time they would not have too many scenes together. She would mainly act with Siqin Gowa. She has not felt

08/11/2005 Ann Hui On Wa's new film YI MA DIK HAU YIN DOI SUN WOOT (AUNT'S POST MODERN LIFE) yesterday held a
press conference in Shanghai. Because the film stars Chow Yun Fat and Vicki Zhao Wei, nearly 100 reporters from China,
Hong Kong and Taiwan flocked to the event. Unfortunately neither could attend due to work. Finally "Aunt" Siqin Gowa and
Mainland actress Coco Shi Ke held the fort. Chow Yun Fat this time will play a "Guangzhou person in Shanghai". The film
company denied the earlier Hong Kong report that Fat Jai will play a swindler of Siqin Gowa's love. When asked whether
Aunt's sex life will be involved, the film company expressed that the film will be a comedy that will be suitable for the whole

08/11/05 A press conference was held yesterday in Shanghai to officially announce Hong Kong director Ann Hui's new film
The Aunt's Postmodern Life. Mainland Chinese actress Siqin Gaowa will play "the aunt", a 60-something retired woman who
is unable to catch up with the changes around her and Chow Yun-Fat will play a con artist who strikes some romance with "the
aunt". Besides "the aunt", writer Li Qiang has also created six other female characters and each one of them was involved in a
little sad or happy story with "the aunt." Previously Chow starred in Hui's The Story of Woo Yuet (1981) and Love in a Fallen City
(1984). Ann Hui said Chow Yun-Fat loved the script so much that he even asked her not to change anything in the script.
Shooting will begin in Shanghai October 15 and the production will move to the northeastern China later this year.

Accordingly the story The Aunt's Postmodern Life was based on a novel by Yan Yan 燕燕. The story was found by the script
director of Peacock. HK Director Ann Hui was very touched by the story. The movie will be set in the new century of Shanghai,
describing the hardship of all types of people trying hard to keep up to date with the changes of society. Some may be able to
adjust and some could not. As a tragicomedy, it uses the warm humane perspective to look on at the changes, and it
examines the huge changes of the Chinese society and the sense of value and view of life of the people.
The movie would start in October 2005. Ann Hui has been preparing for this movie for a year and she would have four very
attractive stars to flesh the roles out. Apart from Chow Yun Fat, Ssu chin Kao wa (Siqin Gaowa/斯琴高娃), Vickie Zhao, overseas
Chinese Lu Yan 卢燕 would also be starring in an important role.
Famous Taiwan so called godmother of film business Jiao Xiong Ping 焦雄屏 would be the overseer. The producer is Zhang
Mang Zhao whose recent work includes Chen Kaige's The Promise and Gu Chang Wei's Peacock.
In cinematography, the award winning cinematographer of 2046 in the 24th HK Film Festival, Quan Ben Liang 关本良. In the
meantime, the musician would be the famous Taiwan Du Du 杜笃. Editing would be Liao Qing Song 廖庆松 whose representative
work included The Bicycle of Seventeen Years 十七岁的单车, 20,30,40. and etc.
If Chow Yun Fat confirms this participation, it would be his third cooperation with Ann Hui. Chow said, "Since this movie does
not have a high production budget, I would not charge Hollywood fees. If the script is satisfactory, I don't mind getting less. I
haven't worked with Ann Hui for a long time and I also enjoy Ssu chin Kao wa a lot. The role is refreshing because I haven't
played a swindler before and so would like to try and learn how to."
The production company would work with Sina.com to audition for two important small roles and a press conference is
planned for August in Shanghai. The preparation for the movie will be completed in September.
