Chow Yun-Fat's movie Love in a Fallen City gets a stamp

    (9/2/2005) To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Chinese film birth, Beijing Stamp Company on
    August 28 released the Chinese Film 100th year stamp collection as a salute to nearly 100 films that
    have contributed to the Chinese film development.  Celestial Entertainment's Shaw Film Archive was
    honored to have 12 films in the collection.  This stamp collection is a joint production and distribution
    of China Film Archive and Beijing City Stamp Company.  Only 3,000 collections will be released
    globally.

    The 9 Shaw's films honored were LOVE WITHOUT END (BUT LIU CHING),
    THE KINGDOM AND THE BEAUTY (GONG SAN MEI YUN), THE EMPRESS WU TSE-TIEN (MO
    JUK TIN), LOVE ETERNE (LEUNG SAN BAK YU JOOK YING TOI), COME DRINK WITH
    ME (DAI JUI HUP), ONE ARMED SWORDSMAN (DUK BEI DOH), KILLER CLANS (LAU
    SING WU DIP GIM), THE 36TH CHAMBERS OF SHAOLIN (SIU LUM 36 FONG), LOVE IN
    A FALLEN CITY (KING SING JI LUEN)G; also in the Classic Superstar
    Collection include Chow Yun Fat, Anita Mui Yim Fong and Maggie Cheung Man
    Yuk.

    Celestial Entertainment CEO William Pfeiffer expressed, "This release of China Film 100th Year
    Stamp Collection has recognized Shaw's film's important position in Mainland film history
    development.  Celestial will continue its effort to bring the best quality films to China; at the same
    time, Celestial will bring excellent Mainland produced films and television programs to the entire
    world and share with everyone the best of Chinese films."

    In recent years Celestial has participated in Mainland film development.  Aside from distributing
    Shaw's films it also through its parent company Astro financed PERHAPS LOVE (YU GOR OI) with the
    Mainland company.  For this year's 100th anniversary of Chinese films, Celestial Entertainment will
    hold a variety of celebrations and memorial events in several cities and provinces.  It will also donate
    some of its valuable Shaw's film material to the Chinese Film Museum that will open at the end of this
    year and to witness the glory days of Hong Kong films with the Mainland audience.
